Welcome back!

In this entry I am supposed to talk about the session in which my classmates talked about Group Planning and Feedback but I was not there, so I am not going to talk about it; the only thing that I knew about that class is that they were making the groups for our sessions and that my group was number 3, and this becasue one of my friends sent me a message.

How dare you Noé! Missing teacher Orlando's class!

Well... ask Maika.

Maika requested Jonathan and I to participate on a webinar and it was going to be about Block Chain. I instantely accepted the offert because 1) It was part of my grade for my “Práctica de Campo”, and 2) I like that kind of topics, they are very interesing and I consider them an essential part of our future.

Jonathan and I needed a lot of time for reviewing the topic, extracting vocabulary and trying to get used to the accent of the speaker because he was from india. Because of all this, Maika asked teacher Orlando for permission so we could prepare our stuff instead of going to his class. The webinar was going to start at 17:00 and Jonathan and I received the presentation at 8:00; we started extracting some vocabulary from there and once we were together at the unversity everything was easier. We got together at 13:00 and at 16:00 we were almost ready, we moved to the TecnoLab in the new building and that place was amazing, I remember thinking: “Oh! So here is where all my money ends up!” Those labs are so beutiful, I wish we had something like that in our building. :(

ANYWAYS...

After making all the sound check and reviewing our notes, WE WERE READY.

Jonathan told me that it was his first time doing interpretation for a formal event and he was kind of nervous (so did I) but I told him that I was going to be the one who was going to start interpreting and then he was going to continue. I think that we took turns of 15 or 20 minutes each. The speacker was so kind and so respectful, he was speaking in a regular speed but we had problems with the internet so we missed some parts of the message (and also because we lost focus, to be honest).

The webinar finished at 18:10 and Jonathan and I were feeling like “The Sensation of The Block”, everybody was telling us that we did it great and that our voices were nice, and some other things that we already knew (humbleness).

It was a long way back home; the traffic was horrible, I arrived at my house at 20:00 💀

And that was my big experience!

I hope you liked my entry and please stay tunned so you do not miss the next one.

Take care!
