Hey! Welcome back!

In this entry, and the following ones, I will be talking about the sessions leaded by us, the students. As teacher Orlando mentioned to us at the beggining of the semester, we are going to lead the sessions for real students and THE TIME HAS COME.

Group 1 | Diana's Group

The first group started their class in a friendly way by making a circle with all the students, and this helped everyone to say hello and get to know each other's names. They wanted the class to feel warm and welcoming. After that, they began to teach the alphabet. To make it easier to understand, they showed examples of words for each letter; this made it easier for the students to understand. Next, they talked about the verb "to be" and how it's used in sentences. They gave examples to make it clear. To help the students remember, they did activities related to these topics.

Group 2 | Gustavo's Group

After a break, the second group started their class, which was all about grammar as well. They began with an exercise where students had to organize things in a table to complete sentences. This was a practical activity that made the students think and use what they knew. Then, they explained the grammar lesson in detail, including the rules and more examples. To make it more interesting, they had students create conversations using the grammar they had just learned. This allowed the students to practice using the new knowledge in real situations. To finish the class, they asked the students questions. This was a quick way to check if the students had been paying attention and if they understood the grammar they had learned that day. It also encouraged the students to participate and stay engaged during the class.

BY THE WAY, I was shocked when the girls of the first group started talking in english as if they had advanced speakers witht them and I knew that my cousin, who is assinting as a student, barely knows the numbers and the alphabet; we will see how this ends up.

That was my short summary about the sessions developed by these two groups, I hope you liked it and stay tunned for my next entry.

Take care!
